My New Favorite Mac and Cheese

I found this recipe for cheesy orzo that I really like -- it's yummy, it's fast and it's not made with fake powder cheese. Of course, I love the macaroni and cheese that comes out of a box, but now that I'm an adult and know that cheese does not naturally come in an orange powdered state, I was looking for a more natural alternative.

So I found this recipe, where you cook the orzo in chicken stock with a little olive oil. When it's done, add a handful of Romano cheese and season with salt. It's very yummy. And did I mention fast?

However, for those of you who are not familiar with Romano cheese, the smell is . . . well, not terribly pleasant. Even in such small amounts as this recipe, Chris can walk through the front door and identify by sense of smell that we're having cheesy orzo with our dinner. For this reason (and the following reason), Chris has officially entered his request for no more cheesy orzo until further notice. (When I find a recipe I like, I tend to make it over and over until I'm burned out on it, which usually happens way after everyone else is tired of eating it. I'm one of those people who could eat one thing over and over for days, possibly weeks at a time. Chris, however, wants more variety.)

But I still have some Romano cheese left in the fridge as well as one more package of orzo, which is just crying out for me to cook it. It would be fiscally irresponsible of me to let the Romano cheese go bad and waste the money I spent on it, so I'll probably cook cheesy orzo tomorrow night. Be ye forewarned.
