Tonight I made salmon roulettes and mushroom risotto - one of my favorite meals (and really fast, too -- thanks, Trader Joe's!) for dinner. Matthew likes to help me make the remoulade sauce for the fish and he is very good at getting all the ingredients out of the fridge. I started the sauce with the basics (mayo, mustard, ketchup) and let him add the flavorings and spices (lemon juice, minced garlic, worchestershire sauce, horseradish, cayenne pepper, paprika and celery salt). He did a great job! The sauce was actually perfect. He was very proud of his accomplishment, too.
In other news, the dog still doesn't have a name -- we're taking all suggestions into consideration. I did call him Zack today (my parent's dog) and I've called him Max, Oscar, Baxter, Tucker and Brandon. All of those were accidental. I think we'll have to have a family meeting this weekend and settle on a name before he develops multiple personalities.
