I'll Take 12 Dozen Red T-Shirts, Please

Matthew, as you may know, is enamored with the Wiggles. Loves them. He is especially attached to the red Wiggle, Murray. He often asks for a "Murray haircut." He also (sometimes) refuses to answer to Matthew, but he'll answer to Murray.

So I bought Matthew a red long sleeve t-shirt at the beginning of the fall season. He LOVES it. He would wear it every day until I peel it off of him and wash it. Every morning he asks to wear the red t-shirt. I, unfortunately, don't have the time to wash the red t-shirt every night, so four mornings out of five, it's a battle to get him to wear a different shirt. The daily battle is really getting old. He's beginning to sneak the shirt out of the dirty clothes hamper so that he can wear it.

I went to Target (Tar-zhay for the more sophisticated) today to try and purchase every red t-shirt in a size 3T that the store had. Total 3T sized red t-shirts in our local Target store: big, fat 0. No red t-shirts. Isn't red Target's color? But winter clothes have been replaced with spring fashions -- short sleeved, yellow and aqua and orange shirts. Not even a red Valentine t-shirt. Unless you're a girl, then there's lots of cute red and pink t-shirts for the occasion. Matthew was not happy. I bought him a pair of jeans (he calls them "belt loops"), hoping to distract him. I also hope that sometime this weekend I can make it to a mall that might possibly have a red t-shirt.

I mean, come on, how hard is it to have a red long sleeve t-shirt in stock in St. Louis in the winter? I guarantee that once I find long sleeved red t-shirts, I will buy every one of the size 3T in stock.

Check out some on-line stores in Nebraska...red is very popular there according to Mike Runcie. Of course they might come with large "N"s also?

Didn't Murray quit being a wiggle?
