Insomnia Cured by Seminar

I've been having a bout of insomnia lately. I can't fall asleep easily (as I usually do) and I'm waking up before my alarm goes off. I really hate that. It's the most disappointing feeling to wake up, realize I could sleep another hour, but cannot fall back asleep.

Usually, I fall asleep easily and can sleep through most anything. I did hear our children when they were little. I also heard storms when we were in Oklahoma, because I always rushed to turn on the weather report if the storm got too rough. However, I have been known to sleep through the phone ringing and fire alarms.

Today I attended a seminar. It turned out to be absolutely, well, useless as far as imparting wisdom or knowledge. It was quite soothing, though, and I really struggled to keep my eyes open. I shifted in my chair from time to time to avoid the embarrassment of actually falling asleep during the presentation.

So my plan tonight is: imagine myself at the seminar, rehashing the topic of billable hours, ATLP reports, budgets and exposure potential . . . I'm already starting to get a little sleepy . . .

Oh the useless seminar!
Role play, and useless information.
Lots of seminar language:
"streamlining"
"seamless"
and other bullshit suggestions while simplifying complicated situations that need dealing with.

I hate seminars.
