Weekend Recap

We took advantage of the 81 degree weather on Saturday to enjoy a morning at the STL Zoo. The great thing about the STL Zoo is -- it's free -- so you don't feel like you've wasted a lot of money just going for a couple of hours and not seeing the whole zoo. Saturday we only visited the insect house, butterfly garden and children's zoo before calling it a day.

At the children's zoo, Matthew and Brandon enjoyed the goats:

I know, they looked thrilled. Later, they were able to terrorize, I mean pet, some Guinea pigs, rabbits and turtles.

We then went to PF Chang's for lunch. We've wanted to visit this restaurant because we've heard it's delicious and it is only a couple of miles from our house. I must say, it WAS delicious. Even the boys enjoyed the food there. Matthew ate an entire spring roll, half of Brandon's sweet and sour chicken, and a good deal of our double fried noodles. He is actually pretty good with chopsticks, too. We took the leftovers home and had them for dinner.

We had some pretty good thunderstorms here last night:

Fortunately, that's not our car, nor is that anywhere near our house.

As for today, Chris has just put a cake in the oven. He says it will be the moistest cake ever. I'll let you know.
