A Few Things I Miss About Shawnee

We are really enjoying St. Louis and all it has to offer in the way of restaurants, shopping, family activities, but there are a few things that I personally miss about Shawnee:

1. Abuelita's: I have not yet found a replacement for the wonderful salsa at Abuelita's. There is a Mexican restaurant just down the street from us that repeatedly wins awards for its food, but it's not really as good as Abuelita's.

2. My job. Well, not the "job" part of the job, but I miss knowing what's going on in Shawnee. I read the News-Star online every day, just to stay up on what's going on. To be honest, my job was never boring. There were always police reports to read, which sometimes were very entertaining. I really need to write some of the events down before I forget them. (Studying for the bar is mind-numbing and causes short and long term memory loss. Really. I swear. There should be studies done. The bad news is that I have a very high likelihood of having to take the Illinois bar in February. I should be insane by March.)

3. Our friends. Well, you knew it was coming. Today I took Brandon and Matthew to the Magic House, which is a kids hands-on museum. It was really cool. It reminded me of the times Brandon went to the Seminole Children's Museum with his friends, which reminded me of our friends. We miss our friends most of all.
